Sherry loved the Lord, her family, traveling and scrapbooking. She graduated from Carolina High School and attended Greenville Technical College where she received her degree as a Surgical Technician. She retired from St. Francis Hospital and was a former director of the Laurens Road Clinic Piedmont Women's Center. She was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church. She was very passionate about the abortion recovery program and facilitated many bible studies. She made many presentations to churches, organizations, and civic organizations as it related to the Pro-Life ministry at Piedmont Women's Center.
Sherry is survived by her husband, Barry Brown; her son Chris Roughton (Heather); her mother-in-law Trellys Brown; her brother Denver Burrell (Anna), her sister Holly Holden (Donnie), her brother-in-law James Allen Brown, her brother-in-law John Brown (Yvonne) and her sister-in-law Wanda Bradley (Victor); her grandson Jude Roughton, her nieces Tonya Parks (Richard), Christa Alexander, Whitley Sleghorn, her nephews Jay Brown (Corletta), Jonathan Brown (Diana), and Mason Brown (Anicia), her great nephews Ryland Parks, Greyson Parks, and Brandon Brown; her great nieces Jessica Brissey, Amber Ramey, Destiny Brown, Ana Brown, Zoe Wilson Brown, Olivia Brown, Chelsea Brown, Lucy Brown, and Mia Brown.
Sherry was preceded in death by her father Harold Moore and her mother Alice Rachel Moore; her brother Eric Burrell; her niece Jenny Blalock, her niece Cassie Meyers, and her niece Gail Bradley.
Sherry also leaves behind her best friend Becky Sweet and several great great nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Sherry will be held Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 11:00 am to 11:50 am at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Century Drive, 311 Century Drive, Greenville, SC 29607, followed by a memorial service at 12:00 pm.
