Ron attended Wade Hampton High School and graduated from Clemson University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science in textiles. He then went on to work for J.D. Hollingsworth for 39 years.
He loved music, especially smooth jazz and oldies, and animals, particularly cats. Many strays found their way to Ron, and he happily cared for them. Ron lived a quiet life. He was highly intelligent, very detailed-oriented, meticulous, thorough, and an avid reader. Ron cared deeply for the few people he entertained in his life.
Ronald is survived by sister, Deb Hogg Akin (Morgan); and nieces, Paige Miller and Tara Rowell (Cope); nephew, Charlie Strickland. Ron was predeceased by his parents, Joe and Gladys Hogg, and sister, Pam Hogg Strickland.

A graveside service for Ronald will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Greenville, SC on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 3:00 PM.
