Robert Warren Stephens Sr.

Robert W. Stephens Sr., 93, of Taylors, husband of the late Elizabeth R. Stephens, died Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home in Anderson. He was happily married to Lib for 64 years. He proudly served his country in the Korean War and WWII. He loved his KJV Bible, his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and had a gentle, kind spirit.

Born in Gray Court, he was the son of the late Thomas Rufus Stephens and Ila Owens Stephens.

Robert was a member of Lee Road Baptist Church for many years. He worked at W.R. Grace (Cryovac) in Simpsonville as a printing superintendent and later sold real estate.

Surviving are his daughter Jan Stephens Kitchings and her husband George of Greer; son Robert “Warren” Stephens Jr. of Simpsonville and his wife Cindy, son Joel Stephens and his wife Amy of Suwanee, GA; granddaughter Heather Banks and husband Jeremy of Simpsonville; granddaughter Audrey Stephens; grandson Tyler Stephens, and one great-granddaughter Sophia.

Due to the COVID-19 virus restrictions, a private memorial service will be held in the future.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the wonderful, loving people at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home or Patriot Hospice. The family appreciated the love and compassion shown to him while he was under your care.
