He is survived by his wife, Crystal, his three children, Lorelai (11), Parker (5), and Gabriel (3), and an extended adoptive family of friends that stretches across the continent.
Bob was an intelligent, warm, welcoming, and energetic man who exuded a magnetic force to which everyone was drawn. He never met a stranger, and within five minutes of meeting you would remember you and at least two details about you to ask after the next time he saw you. He was a team player and motivator. His heart was pure, and he worked tirelessly to do everything he could for those that he loved. He was truly a bright light in the world and will be sorely missed. He was a conversationalist, a storyteller, a jokester, a true in the moment comedian who could spin any situation to get a laugh. Surely, he is now standing onstage in an amphitheater of clouds, making a crowd of angels laugh so hard that it’s raining feathers.
It was his wish that he be cremated and his remains spread at sea, in the tradition of his family, at the Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse in Hillsboro Beach, Florida.
Service arrangements will include a virtual option and will be announced by the family as they are finalized.
In lieu of flowers, his wife asks that you make donations to the South Carolina Autism Society in honor of the last male of his bloodline, his son, Gabriel.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.mackeycenturydrive.com for the Jones family.
