Melissa Ann Crawford, 37, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away on January 1, 2019. She was born in Orange, Texas March 27, 1981. She was the daughter of William Lance Crawford (deceased) and Barbara Ann Crawford.
Melissa was a 1999 graduate of Wade Hampton High School, Greenville, SC. In 2006 she earned a BS degree in Political Science from Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, GA.
After college graduation, Melissa interned as Mediator - Administrator, at the Fulton County Government, FDR program, Fulton, GA. She then was an Executive Administrator at Tony Dale Inc., Greenville, SC and more recently worked as the Assistant Manager/Bartender for the Open Hearth restaurant, Taylors, SC.
Survivors include her mother Barbara Ann Crawford of Travelers Rest, SC; sister Mary Kathryn Smith, brother-in-law Kevin Dean Smith, and nephew Oliver Crawford Smith of Easley, SC.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Century Drive in Greenville, SC on Sunday, January 13th from 2:00 - 4:00 pm in the Kirkland Room. Refreshments will be served.
A Graveside Service will be held at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Fayette, MO at a later date. Expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers may be made in her name to any women's shelter in your local community.
