She is survived by her husband, Hallock Norton Mohler; their five children: Mary Cathleen Mohler Nishimura, Ursula Ann Mohler Wilder, Hallock Norton Mohler Jr.,Elizabeth Michele Mohler Bailey, Cynthia Lee Mohler Warren; their spouses; 11 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
Mary was a teacher who was blessed with a special ability to inspire her students to set high goals and to work hard to achieve those goals. She found exceptional joy in teaching in inner city schools in both the United States and abroad.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to the Buncombe Street United Methodist Church, 200 Buncombe St., Greenville SC, 29601, and designated for "mission outreach".
