Linda was born to Foster and Irma (Mitchell) Lowrey on April 9, 1949 in Elizabeth, NJ. She is survived by her sister and her husband, Beverly and Richard Chivers, nieces Vicki Chivers Walton and Joelle Chivers, nephew Michael Chivers, great-nephews Connor Chivers and Jacob, Noah and Caleb Walton, and many beloved extended family members.
After graduating from Bob Jones University, Linda’s work included teaching, staffing and serving as an executive assistant. She enjoyed reading, the arts, and a variety of crafts, including ceramics and needlepoint projects that became treasured gifts for friends and family. She loved to travel and see new places, but her best talent was meeting people and keeping them in her large fold of friends and family.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff and residents of Shepherd's Care for the loving welcome and care they provided, making Linda’s final days there very special for her.
In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Bob Jones University or the American Kidney Foundation.
