June Payne Sipe was born in Kettering, Northants, England in 1938 to Albert and Sarah Anne Payne. She loved her country and always maintained her citizenship in England. She still has many family members there who she loved and adored. June met Billy Floyd Sipe in England while he was serving in the Air Force. After marrying, they moved to the US, where they lived and loved each other for 62 years. Bill has lovingly and faithfully cared for June during her times of sickness and she was so thankful to have such a loving, caring companion.
On Wednesday night, August 11, 2021 the Lord took this beautiful angel home to be with Him. June was an amazing, talented lady who used her talents to bless anyone she met. She had a very kind, compassionate, and outgoing personality that could make anyone feel loved and valued. Everyone that knew June, loved her and will never forget her. She always loved to give and bless others. One way was by selling her crafts to raise money for missionaries, church projects, and the needy. She and Bill shared meals and clothes to anyone they found in need, even their own possessions at times, to help those that were typically overlooked. Even though June and Bill were never able to have children of their own, she loved and interacted with every child she met and they immediately fell in love with her. At times they even took small children into their homes until their families were able to get back on their feet. They have children of all ages all around who will never forget their love and kindness. June and Bill were pastors for many years in several churches. She would lead the singing and choir, teach Sunday school, head of the women’s ministry, decorate the church for special occasions, even had a Singing Christmas Tree program, and the list can go on and on. She was a true helpmate in every way to her husband Bill as they served together in ministry. Many will be in heaven because of their love and service to the Lord. June loved all animals, especially her pet cats; birds, butterflies, flowers – especially roses, and all the beauty of nature; loved the color pink, sparkles, and jewelry, which she was gifted to design. She loved to enjoy her afternoon hot tea while remembering her homeland, England. Her greatest love was her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, whom she served her whole life, leaving behind a wonderful testimony of faith, even through the most difficult trials of this life.
The loved ones left here to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Bill; her brother, Michael Payne (Cathy); her nephews Michael Payne (Jane) and Andrew Payne (Lynn); her adopted family, Renae Madden, Cathryn Loftis, Melanie (Tim) McCurry, Jared (Jolynn) Madden – Grandchildren; Mason and Benjamin McCurry – great grandchildren; beloved friends, Della and Ben Burnett; and many other friends and family members. She was predeceased by her sister Patricia Crouchen (Henley) and her parents.
After many years of suffering and pain, we are thankful to know that June is now rejoicing with her Savior and loved ones, pain-free and healed in every way, no more tears or sadness, waiting on all of us to come join her, so we can all forever be with our Lord Jesus.
