Janice Virginia Speciale

Janice was born in Newark, New Jersey to the late Evelyn Hart and William Oeters. She spent her childhood years in Rutherford, with summers spent in Barnegat on the Jersey Shore. After marrying Vinny, her beloved husband of 52 years, they settled in Hazlet, New Jersey with their blended family of 7 children. Spending time with her family was her favorite thing to do.

Janice spent 25 years as an executive secretary at the local community college before she and Vinny retired to South Carolina. Janice enjoyed traveling and going out to dinner, but most importantly, she found peace and solace in her faith. She will always be remembered by everyone who knew her for her extreme kindness and loyalty to those who came into her life.

Janice is survived by her husband Vincent Speciale; her children Doris Pack (Rick), Michael Dudasik (Mary), Kathleen Rosenow (Phil), Steven Dudasik (Ann Leigh), Maureen Clark (Lee), Laura Paulin and Dianne Eikenbusch (Werner). She also leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren who were her pride and joy.

A funeral service will be held Monday, July 24, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Buncombe Street United Methodist Church, 200 Buncombe St, Greenville, SC 29601. A committal service will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 pm.
