The Renegars. Sussdorff’s, and Stones send prayers and condolences to Andy’s whole family.  I am his Aunt Vicki and I have great memories of when Andy was born and all of our fun family times. Beach Trips, visits to South Carolina and fun times in Tennessee. I know he will be missed!!!!    Love to all Vicki Renegar Sussdorff🙏🙏

This is so hard to write. I am heartbroken and my sincerest sympathy to all of Andy’s family and friends. 
 
Andy and I served together in the Navy in Charleston. During those three years we saw each other or spent time together nearly every single day. He was my best friend.
 
One period of time he and I worked exclusively night shifts for six straight months at the Naval Hospital. On our off days we were basically awake at night, which allowed us a lot of time to explore the local establishments of downtown Charleston. I always have fond memories of the two of us singing “Shattered” by the Rolling Stones tunes while walking right down the middle of East Bay Street at 1am after a few too many beverages.
 
I’ll always remember his wonderful sense of humor, love for great music, his ability to always keep his cool and never get outwardly upset, and his general kindness to everyone. 
 
We kept in touch with each other over the years getting together a couple times after Charleston, but it has been a while since we actually saw each other. Far too long.  We still talked occasionally and texted semi-regularly checking in on each other and sharing laughs (which he was so good at making me literally laugh out loud). We talked about getting together, but it didn’t happen soon enough and that’s a regret I will now carry with me forever.
 
I cannot express how important he was to me. I am honestly who and what I am today in part because of Andy. He will be missed every day.

Andy lived life to the fullest and he will be missed by many! Continued prayers for his family and friends.  

Linda, I’m sorry Andy’s gone. You gave him a happy life and took good care of him for many years. Your daughters gave Andy much happiness. And the “little ones” will never forget their Papa. You were a good wife to Andy, committed to the end. Deepest sympathies to you during a very difficult time. I hope you have peace and comfort thinking of the life you had as a family and always will. The younger years we had as brothers and a sister were very close ones, I am re-living them all. They are wonderful memories.

I found a letter Andy wrote to me in 1992 and this is how my brother was with me: 

You know how much I love you. I sat in the chair and realized how important you are and I am always by your side. In the morning, at night, when you are sleeping, when you are having fun and when you are crying. You’re young, you’re pretty, you’re fun, you’re sweet, your family is alive and healthy and most of all, you have found Jeff and he has found you. Many don’t even get that. 
Remember to enjoy it even when it is cloudy.

James was a long term employee of AP Professional Security and worked as a Security Officer. James was always very proficient with his work & was well liked by both clients & his fellow officers. James was a very valuable member of our team and we will all miss him dearly. RIP James. 

James was a Security Guard where I work, and I just want to say he will be truly missed. There are few times in life where you meet someone and in a short time know without a doubt how good of a person they are and James was one of those times in my life, I loved talking with him when I could because I enjoyed hearing his stories from his life, He would tell me stories about anything from his time in the Navy,  to Woodstock, and he loved talking about his Grandkids. James I will miss hearing you say on the radio "looking for a door"

This picture was taken by my father back in the 70’s. My family lived next door to the Renegars. I was fortunate enough to reconnect with Andy last year through FB. He was a charming,funny, and witty man. He will be missed.

My thought and prayers are with you an your family.

I remember Andy and I, when we were little, skpped chuch and hid out in the bushes at the church.  We were laughing so hard and Andy quipped, "you'll never get us coppers".  He had my dad's laugh and I always loved it. When we were younger, we were very close.  My little brother.  I love you.  Chris 

We are very sorry to learn of Andy's passing.  We were Foxcroft neighborhood friends of the Renegar Family, enjoying their Friendship.  The Renegar Children were close  Friends and Associates of our children, Cliff and Leslie, and shared many great times together.  Andy was a classmate of Leslie, who passed away in September, 2022. Andy was a great friend during the EHS days. I remember he was a great challenge on intellectual conversations. He also had great depth in music. I remember sitting in the broom sage of an empty field (now Stratton Place), sitting around a fire. A great meeting of the minds. I will miss him. Charlie Mulvaney.
