Jim was predeceased by his parents, James C. Mangum, Sr. and Grace Elizabeth Harbin Mangum of Greenville, SC; sisters, Pat Bentley of Greenville,SC and Jane Evatt of Columbia, SC; and sons, James Robert Mangum and Joseph Reid Mangum. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Anne Campbell Mangum; brother, Robert Donald Mangum (Linda Mangum); stepchildren, Anne Marie Triplett, Perry Ballenger Henderson, Jr. (Lisa Henderson), and William Marshall Henderson; grandsons, Carson James Mangum, Meyer Reid Phillips Mangum, Perry Marshall Henderson, Jacob Michael Henderson, and Benjamin Fonda Henderson; and two granddaughters, Jordan Elizabeth Triplett and Anna Grace Triplett.
Jim graduated from Greenville High School and was a self-employed barber for 25 years. Jim also retired from Michelin after working as an inspector for 25 years. After retirement, Jim and his wife Anne began AJMag LLC, and ran two laundromats here in Greenville, SC.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 27, 2024 at 12:30 pm at Mackey Funeral Home at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609. A service will follow at 2:00 pm with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park at 3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the The Alzheimer’s Association South Carolina Chapter.
The family would like to acknowledge the support and loving care they received from St. Francis Downtown and Via Health Partners during a time of loss.
