Hazel Muree Armstrong Lewis, widow of the late Raymond H. Lewis, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on February 11, 2016. Hazel was the daughter of the late George and Willie Inez Thomason Armstrong. She was a Private in the U.S. Army. She retired from Hamricks in 1991. Hazel is survived by her daughters Kathryn Greene, Teresa (Howard) Nelson, and Eleanor (David) Gill, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Richard Armstrong. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 17, at 1pm in the Chapel at Woodlawn Funeral Home, followed by a private burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at noon.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association and Greenville Animal Care, or Interim Hospice.
