Geraldine Benton Frericks

Geraldine Frericks, 96, of Taylors, SC went to her heavenly home on Friday, March 29, 2024. 'Geri' was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerald Frericks, the "Love of her Life" since their marriage in 1975.

Geri was very involved in her church since the family moved to Greenville, SC in 1960. She taught Sunday School for many years, was very active in the Alter Guild, was an elder in the church, and loved to make her 'famous yeast rolls' for all manner of church events, especially in support of their soup suppers. She taught roll making classes for her friends and church members as her yeast rolls and cinnamon rolls were prized by one and all. She and her husband, JJ, were active members of Pebble Creek Country Club. She was an avid gardener and took great pride in her beautifully landscaped yard. Later in life she volunteered to make Braille bibles which gave her great pleasure. She always enjoyed doing for others.

For 28 years Geri enjoyed a very successful career as a District Manager for Avon Products, a job she truly loved. Upon retirement from Avon she sold real estate for 18 years.

In addition to her husband she is predeceased by her son, Larry Benton. She is survived by her son John Benton (Julie), her stepson, Donald Frericks (Mary), as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd 1601 N. Pleasantburg Dr. Greenville, SC 29609.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Providence Care Hospice (500 Lakeshore Parkway, Rock Hill, SC 29730) or the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd (1601 N. Pleasantburg Drive, Greenville, SC 29609).
