She was a military wife for 37 years as her husband, Edward Aris Blevins, served in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Lt. Colonel in 1985. In addition to supporting her husband during his military tenure, she was an active cook and baker and used those skills as a caterer. She was also an avid crafter, selling her homemade goods at craft fairs wherever she lived.
She is survived by her brother, Ronald Purdy; her four sons (and their wives), Bruce (Mani), David (Helen), Gary (Donna), and John (Denise); grandchildren, Aris, Jeremy, Joshua, Timothy, Sara, Grant, Bethany, Mackenzie, and Madison; and four great-grandchildren, Ajax, Griffen, Elizabeth, and Matthew.
She will be interned at Arlington National Cemetery, next to her husband.
