Genna was born June 25, 1981 in Greensboro, N.C. to Barbara Jean Forrester Cameron and the late John William Cameron of Greenville, S.C.
Genna was an avid notebook, flippy, and tie collector. Her hobbies included eating noses, pulling and breaking hair, and bopping people on the head. She was a connoisseur of slapstick comedy, a master of cookies and pinwheels, a pusher of people off of beds and into bathtubs, and a secret keeper. She will be remembered for perfecting the art of making others cry. Her favorite places included Camp Spearhead and the homes of her loved ones and friends.
Genna is survived by her mother, Barbara; two siblings, Darien James Cameron and Joy Peterson, and Brennan Cameron and Chloe Gurgel; grandparents, Geneva R. Forrester and the late George Truett Forrester and the late James J. Cameron and Regina T. Cameron; aunts and uncles, Ruth Ann Forrester and Henry Liebling, George T. Forrester, Jr., Suzanne Flowers and the late Jimmy Flowers, James J. Cameron Jr. and Betsy Cameron, Marilyn Joyner and Fred Joyner, Mark Cameron and the late Denise Cameron, Janice Cobb and Cliff Cobb; nieces and nephews, Kayla Bellofatto, James Cameron, Ivory Cameron, and Nathan Cameron, as well as special friends, caregivers, and camp family.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 31, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Camp Spearhead, 4232 SC-11, Slater-Marietta, South Carolina, 29661. The family has requested that social distancing protocols, including masks, be followed.
