Donna Jean Maxey

Born on November 21, 1956 in Corpus Christi, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Jean Williams Fite. Donna was a LPN and was most recently the School Nurse at Hillcrest Middle School. In addition to her loving husband of 43 years, are two sons, Chris Maxey (Erin Donohue) of Arlington, Virginia and Anthony Maxey (Missy Maxey) of Mukilteo, Washington; one brother, Michael Fite of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; a half-brother, Danny Clemons of Houston, Texas; and three grandchildren, Nora Maxey, Lena Maxey, and Hector Maxey.

She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and could often be found crafting, painting or baking with them whenever they would come to visit. She had a passion for traveling and was always in search of her family’s next adventure. Her grandchildren will lovingly remember her kind heart, big laugh and generous spirit.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, April 26, 2021 at 3:00pm in the chapel of Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Century Drive. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. Close to her childhood home in Arkansas, Donna had close family members that worked there and it held a special place in her heart.
