I write to express my sincere condolences to the entire Vaughn family in the loss of David.  I knew David through my long friendship with Carl and remember that the Vaughn family were faithful Christians.  I pray for you all to feel the comfort which passes all understanding through our Lord in the days ahead.

Am an old friend from Chattanooga, Highland Park Chriatian Church and Central High School. I was a 7th grader when David was Mr. Central and was in awe that he would even speak to me.  What a wonderful life he surely lived loving his Lord, family and community. Sending my deepest sympathy to you all.

With affection and sympathy to the entire Vaughn/Wheeler extended family, from one of the Sprayberrys (the Vaughns' next-door neighbors in Chattanooga for many happy years). David will forever be "Big David" to us.

My family sends our deepest condolences to David's family.  While I did not know David personally, I did know his brother Carl and wife.  Wonderful people so know David was just as loving.  May God bless you all and wrap His comforting arms around everyone.  God has received another angel..

David will be missed. He was a true example of someone who loved and lived his life as a believer.

The only words that I can use to describe David are: the most kind, caring Christian man that I ever had the privilege to work for. We send our condolences as fellow hikers   He was such a nice and understanding man to talk with   He was loved by all of us.

David is with Jesus now, and I' m sure he was greeted with the words "well done my good and faithful child".  David was of the most Godly men I know and had compassion for everyone he came in contact with.
  It was an honor  to work for VBS under his and Butch's direction.
