Buck is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Sandra Siegwarth Masten, daughters Valerie Bonné and her husband Jon; and Melanie Gearhart, her husband Matthew and their daughter Grayson.

Buck will be remembered for his courage, his lively sense of humor, his generosity of time and talent, and his unmatched ability to make friends anywhere he went. An avid golfer, Buck not only enjoyed spending time on the course with friends, but also cherished times where he could coach others. Other than golfing, highest among his passions were his family, dear friends, and cooking. He was a thoughtful host and usually the life of the party. Buck enjoyed time at the beach and on the water, playing cards, dominoes and cribbage, and lovingly teasing the ones he cared about most.

A celebration of Buck’s life for friends and family will be held at Green Valley Country Club (225 Green Valley Road, Greenville, SC 29617) on Wednesday, January 26, at 1pm. The family asks that masks be worn and social distancing be practiced as we gather to share memories of a life very well lived.
