Anna was a lifelong resident of Greenville and was very proud of her Greek heritage. She was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in downtown Greenville, where she spent her younger years chanting and singing in the choir. Since age 12, she has been a member of the Gamma Alpha Sigma sorority remaining heavily involved throughout her life. Anna was truly a Proverbs 31 woman: “Many women are noble, but you surpass them all.” – Proverbs 31:29
She was throughout her life a gifted interior designer, establishing her own interior design business. She also worked with her husband Sonny to build a successful construction business in the upstate of South Carolina.
Anna was born to parents George and Flora Boudoucies. She is survived by her sister Georgia Beardslee and predeceased by siblings Tootie Kanos, Arthur Boudoucies, Ignac Boudoucies and John Boudoucies. Growing up, her family spent many wonderful summers in Folly Beach, SC. Anna often spoke of the special memories she had of this time in her childhood.
A devoted wife and mother, she is also survived by her children: A.C. “Bo” Gossett, III (Donna) of Greenville and Teresa G. Aiken (Edwin) of Columbus, N.C. Grandchildren: Currie Carnegie (Prosser) and Janie Marchbanks (David) both of Greenville, SC and Tiffany Anderson (Christopher) of Columbia, SC. Great grandchildren: Logan Carnegie, Lucas Carnegie, Tripp Marchbanks, Avery Marchbanks, Bo Marchbanks, Annabelle Anderson and Miller Anderson.
Anna received the utmost care from the wonderful agape hospice nurses, therapists and staff at Tryon Estates where she spent her final months. The family is forever grateful for the love and support they all provided during this time. Anna had many wonderful friends and was very loved wherever she went.
A service honoring her life will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 11 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Greenville, SC. The family will receive friends with a visitation prior at 9:30 – 10:30 am. An internments will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park with a traditional lunch at the Hellenic Center.
