Scott J. Bingham, 76 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Friday December 29, 2023 at 3:25 PM at his residence. Scott was born July 6, 1947 in Darke County, Ohio, the son of the late Walter and Lois (Shank) Bingham.
Scott served his country honorably in the United States Army in the Vietnam War. He retired from ABF Trucking. Scott was an avid hunter; he enjoyed the outdoors camping and boating especially at Lake Cumberland; he enjoyed watching football. Scott worked hard to provide for his family and loved spending time with them; and finally yet importantly, he loved his dogs.
Scott is preceded in death by his parents; his granddaughter and great grandson, April Peters and Landyn Allen Peters; and his brothers, Dean and Timothy Bingham; his in laws whom he was very close with; Walter and Eloise McClurg, Mike McClurg, Ron McClurg, and Billy and Connie McClurg
Scott is survived by his wife, Betty (McClurg) Bingham of Greenville; his daughter and son in law, Rhonda and Todd Mikesell of Greenville; his son and daughter in law, Jimmy and Shaughn Bingham of Greenville; his grandchildren, Amber, Cory, Justin, and Morgan (Austin); his great grandchild, Nova; his siblings and spouses, Larry Bingham of Greenville, Jack and Debbie Bingham of Greenville, Sue Wadell of Greenville, Barbara and Gary Goffinet of Middletown, Darlene and Rick Riffell of Arcanum, Mike Bingham of California, Sharon and Joe Smith of Greenville, Diana and Jerry Duncan of Rossburg, and Jim Bingham of Greenville; his ½ sister, Karen Hecht of Ansonia; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs, Shiloh, Jayden, Juha, and Bentley.,
Services will be held on Friday January 5, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Drew Bush officiating. Burial with military honors being conducted by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard will be held at Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Wesleyan Church.
