Marvin H. Lenker, age 79, of Rossburg, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 11:43 PM at Heartland of Greenville. He was born on April 22, 1933 in Rossburg, Ohio, to the late Gerald & Ruth (DeWeese) Lenker.
He is survived by his wife Carol ( Culver) Lenker; children, Betty (Edward) O’Shea, Ron & Dan Drish, Brenda (Les) Gibson, Barbara Pruit and friend Jim, Shirley Coby (Allan) Phillippi, Kathy (Ron) Widener, Jackie (Dane) Whittington, Janice (Danny) Vie, Mary Culver, Joyce (Dale) Lyme, and Mike (Heidee) Culver; 23 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; brothers, Eugene (Hannah Mae) Lenker, Robert (Marcia) Lenker and David Lenker; sisters, Mary (Don) Richey, Geraldine (Lowell) Threewits, Naoma (Jay) Voke; brother in law, Melvin Gehron; sisters in law, Ester and Ann; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife Helen (Rose) Lenker; second wife Mary (Strait) Coby Lenker; and brothers, Joe and Paul Lenker.
He was a farmer, worked as an EMT at Ansonia Rescue, owner and operated of OH Farm Services and L & Z Mowers. Marvin and Carol Delivered RV’s together while traveling all over. He was a member of the United States Army serving in WWII and the Greenville Missionary Church, as well as a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.
There will be a service held on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Greenville Missionary Church, 1110 North Broadway, Greenville, Ohio, with Rev. Gary Oser officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery, Greenville, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Sunday, February 17, 2013 from 2-6 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. There will be a graveside military service conducted by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard.
