Kathleen Ann (Klopfenstein) Cantrell-Graber, 94 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday November 19, 2024 at 7:40 AM at the Brethren Retirement Community. Kathy was born November 16, 1930 in Grabill, Indiana, the daughter of the late Howard J. and Mildred L. (King) Klopfenstein.
Kathy was a homemaker, sold Avon, and an accomplished pianist, she played for many of the community churches, nursing homes, she played accompaniment for several choirs. Kathy was a member of the Darke County Women’s Club; Greenville Country Club, Welcome Wagon, and New Comers Club. She and her family had several moves in their life and she made every new place they lived a comfy home. Kathy was a seamstress who sewed her children’s clothes, she made cards for holidays, she was a cheerleader and organized the class reunions for her class.
Kathy is preceded in death by her parents; her 1st husband, James Paul Cantrell; her 2nd husband, Dr. Harry Graber; her son in law, John Thomas; her sisters and brothers in law, Marjorie and Dick Kryder, and Marilyn and John Lee; her brother and sister in law, King and Evelyn Klopfenstein.
Kathy is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Ann Thomas, Candace and Max Sharp, Caroline and Larry Arnett; her grandchildren and spouses, Clayton Thomas, Seth & Kristi Thomas, Nathan and Michelle Thomas, Daniel and Rachel Thomas, Paul and Jenny Sharp, Justin Sharp, Paige and Tyler McCulley, Parker and Monica Arnett; and 14 great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Monday November 25, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dr. Harry Graber Medical Education Fund in care of the Mary Rutan Foundation, 205 Palmer Avenue, Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311.
