Jean Pratt

Jean Pratt, 92, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on October 27, 2015. Jean was born on July 19, 1923 in Greensburg, the oldest of 3 children born to Charles and Naomi (Foster) Morris. Jean was a 1941 graduate of Greensburg High School. On April 11, 1946, she married the love of her life; Bultman J. Pratt, he preceded her in death on March 22, 2007. They shared nearly 61 years together. Jean loved gardening and was always blessed with a green thumb; always having a yard full of beautiful flowers. She enjoyed crafts and loved playing cards with her family and friends. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church from childhood and attended the Loyal Builders Sunday School Class. She had also been a member of several different Home Ec Clubs and was still an active member of one. She was a lifelong learner, teacher, and housewife. Her beloved family includes: Daughter- Nancy (Richard) Richardson of Greensburg; Son- Terry (Kay) Pratt of Brownsburg; three Grandchildren; five Great Grandchildren; Brother- James Ned (Shirley) Morris of Columbus; and several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her: Parents; Husband; and Sister- Carol Ellen Terrell. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland Howe Funeral Home on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 12:00 pm until the time of the Funeral at 2:00 pm. Rev. Cliff Bunch will be officiating. Burial will follow at the South Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.
