Mr. Wendell Wilkie Robinson, 83 of Greensboro, NC died Monday, November 25,2024 at Adams Farm Living and Rehabilitation in Jamestown, NC. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm, Friday December 6th, in the Lineberry Center at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel, 515 Noth Elm Street, Greensboro, NC. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3901 Forest Lawn Drive, Greensboro. The family will come back to the Lineberry Center for a repass.
Wendell was born December 3, 1940 in Elizabeth, LA. Son of the late Lee and Clementine Robinson. On April 8, 1963, he married the love of his life Patsy Ann Robinson in Elkton, MD. After marriage they resided in Philadelphia, PA and had four children, 2 sons and 2 daughters. After working for Federal Express for many years he transferred to Greensboro, NC where he retired from FedEx. He decided staying in the house was not an option, so he went back to work for Quest Diagnostic as a Shuttle Driver for several years where he ended his employment to care for his wife.
Mr. Robinson was a member of The Cathedral of His Glory, where he helped and served occasionally as security. Wendell loved traveling, and spending time with family and close friends.
In addition to his parents, Wendell was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Ann Robinson, his son Anthony Paul Robinson, and his siblings James Robinson, Senobia Robinson, Eddie Robinson, Francis Robinson, Clarence Robinson, and Earl Robinson. Those left to remember him fondly in their hearts are his children, Kyle Torbin Robinson (Tiffany) of Escondido, CA, Shawn Robinson of Raleigh, NC, and Lesley Robinson Barnes (Antonio) of Wilson, NC. Siblings Linda Robinson, Geraldine Robinson, and Julius Robinson. Grandchildren Mark, Tyler, Eric, Zion, Amara, Naariah, Ezra, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
