A celebration of Treva’s life will be held when restrictions are lifted and safe to do so.
Treva was born February 8, 1935, in Sampson County, NC; daughter of the late Joseph Berry and Sarah Lee McCullen Tadlock. She was a member of West Market Street United Methodist Church. For over 20 years, she worked at Sears in Greensboro in Retail.
While sitting in her living room with her grandchildren; the sun would reflect on the crystals hanging and produce a rainbow that would make her smile, she loved playing piano and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a very attentive and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and also one who would help anyone in need. She had a great love for animals which she passed on to her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Straughn was also preceded in death by her brother, Gaither Tadlock. She is survived by her children, Mark Straughn, Michele Straughn; brothers, Ted Tadlock and wife, Barbara, Joseph Tadlock; sister-in-law, Joann Tadlock; grandchildren, Justin Campbell, Brooklynn Priest and husband, Joshua and great grandchildren, Katelyn, Sarah and Joshua, Jr. Also surviving are many loving nieces and nephews.
