Tracey Marie Murphy

Tracey Marie Murphy, 57, a resident of Walkertown passed away on July 16, 2022 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem. She was born November 7, 1964 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado the daughter of Keith LaVon Grimes and Nancy Irene Coughlin Propp. She spent her childhood and young adult years in San Diego, CA and later in Jamestown, NC.

Tracey received her Masters of Social Work from San Diego State University and worked with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem.

Tracey was kind and caring soul who looked after all those in her life. She was a loving mother, wife, and friend. In later years, she pursued her dream of starting her own farm in Walkertown, NC. She was passionate about gardening, scrapbooking, corgi rescue, and was an avid collector of cow memorabilia.

She was married to Garth Michael Murphy who preceded her in death on February 15, 2020. She is survived by her daughter, Regan Murphy of Tallahassee, FL; her sister, Stephanie Propp of Nederland, CO and her brother, Jonathan Propp of Denver, CO.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.
