Thomas Andrew Fitzsimons

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 4, 2017, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 2203 West Market Street, with Father Paul Buchanan officiating.

Andy was born July 10, 1971, in Greensboro, North Carolina, son of Robert William and Mary Jane Fitzsimons. He was a very caring, gentle man, always fun to be with and always willing to help his family and many friends. Andy was so loving and proud of his two brothers, Mike and Bobby, and their so supporting wives, his six beautiful nieces as well as his aunts, uncles and many close friends. He enjoyed live music events, boating, cookouts and family events, especially on Christmas Day at his parents home. Andy was an accomplished carpenter; he worked hard and was a very dependable employee.

Andy, in spite of physical addiction, never lost track of what was truly important in life; family, friends and the importance of prayer. Unfortunately, like many others, he suffered by addiction and passed away much too soon. Please pray for him and others in need of HIS help.

Andy is survived by his parents, Robert William and Mary Jane Fitzsimons of Greensboro; brothers, Dr. Michael G. Fitzsimons (Suzanne) of Milton, MA, Robert J. Fitzsimons (Emily) of Greensboro; nieces, Anabel and Caitlin Fitzsimons of Milton, MA, Olivia, Georgina, Taylor and Ryan Fitzsimons of Greensboro and friend, Tara.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m., Sunday at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel, 515 North Elm Street.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Andy’s memory to the charity of ones choice.
