Shelby Seay Smith

Shelby Seay Smith, 78, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2015. She was born on November 10, 1936, the daughter of Ernest G. and Nora Farthing Gammon, in Reidsville, NC. She worked with the Greensboro Police Department as the Court Liaison for the Greensboro Police Department and retired after 25years of service.

Shelby was of the Baptist faith. She loved spending time at the beach and to travel. She enjoyed cooking and the time spent with her family. She loved all animals. Shelby was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be deeply missed.

Shelby was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Seay and sister, Peggy Seay. Those surviving are her two daughters; Deborah Price and husband Bud of Greensboro, NC, Kathryn “Niki” Drake of Newnan, GA; grandchildren, Jake Price of Raleigh, NC and Austin Price of Greensboro, NC ; sister, Tina Jones and husband Ted of Reidsville, NC and Ben Smith.

A Celebration of her Life will be held on Friday, 11:00 am at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
