Sheila M Powers

Sheila M. Powers, 75 passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at her residence. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 28 at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel, 515 North Elm Street with Pastor Steve Roberson officiating. Interment will follow at Westminster Gardens Cemetery, 3601 Whitehurst Road.

Sheila was born April 1, 1947 in Swansboro, NC, daughter of the late Carl James and Lillian D. Michael. She was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. Her family was her world, she loved them all so much.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 45 years, Robert L. Powers; sons, Michael R. Powers (Kari), Robert Brian Powers (Starla); grandchildren, Britney Dawn Powers, her fiancé, Ryan Avery, Madison Lynne Powers, Kristine Lillian Powers, Rocky Daniel Freedle (Myessence), Dillion Cole Powers, Kaden Olivia Powers; great granddaughter, Leightynn Grace Freedle and Sheila’s brother, Thomas Clinton Michael (Ann). Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 27 at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel.

Memorial contributions in Sheila’s memory may be made to Union Grove Baptist Church, 5424 Union Grove Road, Oak Ridge, NC 27310.
