Ruth Jane Gallimore

A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, December 30, 2012 at 2:15, viewing at 1:00 pm at South Elm Street Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Gallimore

Ruth was born March 12, 1925 in Floyd, VA to the late Clive and Ruby Hollandsworth.

Mrs. Gallimore worked at P. Lorillard over thirty years. She was a loving and generous mother and will be greatly missed by all.

Survivors include children, Lynn Dale Gallimore (Linda) of Mooresville, Marlene Gallimore Maready of Greensboro, Gary Gallimore (Rhonda) of Level Cross, Loretta Gallimore Johnson (Stephen) of Sandy Ridge, Kevin Gallimore, Sr. of Greensboro, Winfred Gallimore (Diane) of Greensboro; 17 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; five sisters, Bessie Cox ( Bernard), June Reynolds (Bill), Ardith Harris, Joan Henley, Joyce Henley (Donald); two brothers, Randolph Hollandsworth (Edith) and Larry Hollandsworth (Sandra).

Ruth is preceded in death by her loving husband Vernon R. Gallimore of 61 years; one sister Majella Myers; three brothers Newton, David and Hurbert Hollandsworth.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to our niece /nephew, Michelle and Mark Holleman for the loving sacrifice they made to the care of their grandmother.
