Russell Allen Gray, 66, of Greensboro passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday April 11, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was born April 2, 1957 in Meridian, MS, the son of the late Edward Arnold and Betty Jean Pierce Gray.
Russell was a member of the graduating Class of 1975 at Ben L. Smith High School in Greensboro. He was a proud business partner of Southeast Productions Inc. where he worked for 39 years, alongside his father and brother. Russell was a member of the Triad Bassmasters fishing crew, loved to golf, and lived his life to give and support others. He loved spending days surrounded by friends and family, but most of all he loved the time he shared with his grandchildren. Russell touched many lives through his genuine personality and giving heart.
He is survived by his daughter, Jenny L. Gray of Winston-Salem; his son, Kenneth Allen Gray (Ana) of High Point; his sister, Vanessa Gray of Reidsville; his brother, Les Gray (Tracy) of Belews Creek; grandchildren, Noelle Gray, Riley Byrd, Dean Gray; nieces, Crystal Henley of Kernersville, Ragen Birchall (Jeremy) of Burlington, Shelby Behnke (Tim) of Bunn Level, Allison Loeber of Durham; nephews, Eddie Gray (Jennifer) of Jamestown, Ryan Gray (Brittany Roberts) of Four Oaks, Kristopher Loeber of Mt. Airy, Cody Johnson of Raleigh, Tyler Johnson of Cleveland, OH; great nieces, Maddy Gray, Kaylee Henley and great nephew, Jaxon Brown.
A visitation for Russell will be held Monday, April 17, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Sedgefield Presbyterian Church, 4216 Wayne Road, Greensboro, North Carolina 27407, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 4:00 PM.
