Robert Johnson

Robert Johnson, age 89, of Greensboro, North Carolina passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 23, in the Lineberry Center at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel, 515 North Elm Street with Rev. Eugene Dean officiating. Inurnment will follow at 12:30 at Guilford Memorial Park, 6000 West Gate City Boulevard.

Rob was born in Surry County, NC, June 12, 1935, son of the late Addie Bell King. Rob loved to hunt, fishing at the beach off the pier and family get togethers.

In addition to his mother, Rob was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma M. Johnson; sons, Jerry D. Reedy, Gary L. Bridges and his brother, Frank and Herbert Johnson. He is survived by his sister, Judy Tilley and husband Dennis of Ararat; daughters, Joyce G. Reedy of Colfax, Connie B. Lakey and husband Harvey of Julian; sons, Robert B. Burchett and wife, Missy of Mouth of Wilson, VA, Barry Bridges and wife, Reda of Greensboro; nieces, Brenda J. Gibbs and husband David of Randleman, Sandra Kinley of Randleman, Candace Thompson and husband, Nick of Walkertown; nephew, Phillip Johnson and wife, Happy of Denton, Daniel Johnson of Randleman, Matthew Tilley and wife, Deanna of Pilot Mountain, and his special friend, Charles O'Connor of Greensboro.
