Rebecca "Becky" Anne Smith

Rebecca “Becky” Anne Smith, 61, a resident of Jamestown passed away on Wednesday February 10, 2021. Becky was born February 19, 1959 in Burlington, the daughter of William Lee and Betty Anne Brown Smith.

For over 30 years Becky has been a resident of the RHA Howell Health Services in LaGrange, NC, a facility devoted to caring for special needs individuals. In 1960-1961 Becky was chosen as the Poster Child for Easter Seal Cerebral Palsy in Richland County, SC.

Becky was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Brown Smith on November 20, 2015.

She is survived by her father William Lee Smith of Jamestown; brother Don Smith and wife Nydia of Raleigh, brother Ed Smith and wife Patti of Brown Summit, and several nieces and nephews.

A Service to Celebrate Becky’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by the Reverend Dr. Brady Huneycutt. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Becky’s name to Guilford Baptist Church 5904 West Market St. Greensboro, NC 27409 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
