A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 26, 2024, 12:00 noon, at Lakeview Memorial Park by Rev. Richard Wright.
Peggy was born June 1, 1937, in Elizabethton, TN, the daughter of Harvey and Edna Combs Keller.
Peggy was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church and was a good Christian woman. She enjoyed taking care of her family, always a good cook, and made many memories camping and taking the kids to Carowinds, often by her determination with radio contests. Peggy could be thrifty, never one for waste. She loved to paint wooden art pieces, requiring an intricate hand.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Robert Tomlinson, Sr. He wrote to her on their 50th anniversary “Peggy, a physical attraction created a spark-but a loving God created a flame that will last throughout eternity-together forever, Charlie”. Peggy and Charlie were a loving role model to their children, truly a marriage made in Heaven. Peggy was also preceded in death by her daughter, Cheri Sigmon, and siblings, Jean Lunsford, Linda Jones and Harvey Keller, Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Charles Tomlinson, Jr. of Greensboro, daughter, Michele Pegram (Ronnie) of Brown Summit; grandchildren, Christopher Calhoun, Amanda and Aaron Ross, Kimberly and Travis Walrod and Michael Sigmon; great grandchildren, Charlie and DeClan Walrod.
Hanes Lineberry N. Elm Chapel is assisting the Tomlinson family.
