Mary Plaskett Plaskett Evans

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, 2:00 p.m., at the Cranford United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lorton, Virginia, by Rev. Lorenzo Hill.

Mrs. Evans was born May 3, 1933 in Alexandria, VA, to John and Almeda Burton Plaskett.

She was a member of West Market Street United Methodist Church in Greensboro, and was a part of the Asbury Covenant and the Circle 7 Sunday School Classes. Mrs. Evans served on the United Methodist Church Older Adult Council, and volunteered for both the Red Cross and Planetary Society. She retired as a secretary for Grace United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Evans.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, James M. Evans and Daniel G. Evans, both of Greensboro.

Friends will be received Sunday, 4:00-6:00 p.m., at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to West Market Street United Methodist Church, 302 W. Market Street, Greensboro NC 27401.
