Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service for Mariama Talata Williams, who passed away peacefully on September 26, 2024, at the age of 81. The service will be held on Saturday, October 26th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home, 6000 W Gate City Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27407. Following the service, Mariama will be laid to rest at Guilford Memorial Park.
Born on December 14, 1942, in Bawku, Ghana, Mariama dedicated her life to caring for others as a nurse and midwife. After migrating to the United States in 1989, she first settled and practiced in New York before continuing her nursing career in New Jersey and North Carolina, where her compassion and dedication touched countless lives.
Mariama was the beloved wife of the late Jackson Bunbom-lari and a loving mother to Eileen Djabanor, Gordon Lari, Edward Lari, and the late Seth Lari. She cherished her family, including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her Catholic faith was a cornerstone of her life.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family. Her legacy of love, faith, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
