Margaret "Ruth" (Holder) Reavis

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 15, 2021 at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 W. Gate City Blvd., in Greensboro. Ruth will be laid to rest in Guilford Memorial Park following the funeral services. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

Ruth was born on October 25, 1936, in Harnett, County to the late Lonnie Roberson Holder and Lola Maggie West. She graduated from Benhaven High School and retired from media services with the Guilford County School System after many years of employment. Ruth enjoyed needlework and was an accomplished Seamstress. She enjoyed trips to the beach and spending time with her family. Ruth was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Paul Holder (Pansy), Gladys West (Willard), Arnold Holder (Ann), Franklin Holder, and Ruby Haskins (Calvin); and a nephew, Gary Paul Holder.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 65 years, Donald Blaine Reavis, Sr.; daughter, Cindy Dye (Billy); Donald Blaine Reavis, Jr.; sister, Rita Holder; grandchildren, Brandon Reavis, April Nix (“Rusty”) and Daniel Dye (Jamie); great grandchild, Waverly Nix; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
