Lula’s final days were in her daughter’s home under hospice care. She and her daughter shared the true meaning of Christmas (unconditional love) and created eternal memories. Lula transitioned peacefully to her heavenly home with her daughter LuAnn by her side.
Lula is preceded in death by her parents Glody and Ruby Moore, sister Christine Hilton, brother Tommy Moore, husband Ed Roberts, stepson Tim Roberts, and stepdaughter Betsy Roberts.
Lula leaves her daughter LuAnn Joyce, special friends (Chris Winfree, Hollie Dixon, Kay Tingen, David Mower, and the Carriage House memory care team), Sister-in-law Marilyn Moore, brother-in-law Herman Hilton, beloved nieces and nephews and stepsons Terry and Ted Roberts.
Lula was a retiree from Western Electric. She retired at the age of 55 to travel and enjoy life with her husband, Ed Roberts. Lula and Ed traveled and enjoyed going out to eat and shopping (Lula shopped, Ed lovingly waited on a bench).
Lula was a lifetime member of Glenco United Methodist Church. An independent, strong-willed, witty woman of faith, generous to a fault and with a heart of gold.
A celebration of life/homecoming will be held at a later date. Her daughter asks that you tell each person you meet for a day to “have a good one” and give them a peace sign to honor her spunky little mama. Have a good one ☮
