Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 9 at Godly Love Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Carter was a member of Godly Love Missionary Baptist Church. She was an avid BINGO player, enjoyed gardening, especially growing flowers and loved collecting elephants. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Carter, their children, Kathy Diane Carter, Bruce Edward Carter, Ronnie Anthony Carter, Kimberly Rochelle Hairston, and seven brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Carter is survived by her daughters, Angela Carter, Renita C. Austin and husband, Tony all of Greensboro, brother, James “Dot” Bernard, sisters, Helen Sapp, Sally Bernard, Shirley Bernard, Margaret Bernard, 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, family and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, PO Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309.
The family will receive friends from Noon until the time of the service at the church.
