LaRue was a faithful member of Calvary Chapel in Winston Salem. She enjoyed going to the mountains and White Lake. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved being “Nana” to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who had the honor to know her.
She was preceded in death by her Mother, Martha Thompson and her husband, William Franklin Mobley, Sr.,Sisters; Alice Mae Thompson Hall, Gail Thompson Cline: brothers Roland Thompson and Dale Thompson. Those left to cherish her memory are siblings Shirley Thompson Browning, Sidney Thompson, JD Thompson, son, William Franklin Mobley, Jr (Vanessa) of Reidsville, NC; daughter, Tonya M. Lanier (James) of McLeansville, NC; grandchildren; Michael Anthony Mobley(Dara), Matthew Dylan Mobley (Scarlett), Dustin Jesse Austin Mobley "DJ" (Brooke), Mykala Carlee Amanda Lanier (Michael); great grandchildren, Izabella Dawn Mobley, Caleb Michael-Lee Mobley, Charles Liam Mobley "Char-Char", Camden Jeremiah Mobley, Rylee LaRue Amber Mobley, Kevin Robert Bray, Logan William James Mobley, Reid Irvin Mobley, Lilliana Marie Mobley, William Ervin James Bullard and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with burial to follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home.
