Katherine Burney Sanders

Katherine Burney Sanders, 90, a resident of Jamestown passed away on Sunday June 21, 2020 at the Hospice Home of High Point. She was born April 15, 1930 in Guilford County, the daughter of James Alexander and Kate Frazier Burney.

Katherine was employed with Sears where she worked in the mail order department. She was of the Methodist faith.

She was married to Paul Grayson Sanders who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; grandson, James Alexander Moore; sister, Margaret B. Brown; half-sister, Evelyn Wells and brothers, Bill Burney, James Burney and Jesse Burney.

Katherine is survived by her daughter, Sinda Eller and husband Mark of Archdale; her son, Gregory Dean Lemons of Jamestown; her sister, Bessie B. Pitts of Castle Hayne; grandchildren, Jason Lemons, Keith Lemons, Brandy Alvarez and great grandchildren, Victoria Alvarez, Roberto Alvarez; James Lemons; Xander Crawford and Gracie and Kierstyn.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Guilford Memorial Park. Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel is serving the family.
