He is survived by his wife Barbara, daughters Sherry (Terry), and Debra (Ken); grandchildren, Lauren (Michael), and Josh (Harmonee). Brooks (Jamie) and Kyle (Brooxie). Great grandchildren Hayden, Tucker, Alifair, Havyn, Westin, Kelan, Saint and Noble Day.
After serving in the Navy he returned to Greensboro to his wife Barbara of over 70 years. Joe became a letter carrier for 30 years until retirement. He also enjoyed many years as a ham radio operator talking to anyone around the world who would talk to him. Joe had many hobbies including gardening, raising goats, sheep and chickens, a bee keeper, bird watching especially his purple martins and bluebirds. However, he was most happy outside roaming his “North 40.”
Joe will be missed by all. However, we find great comfort in knowing he is no longer in a broken body, his eyesight is clear, he is walking with no pain, he is with our Jesus and we will someday join him in Heaven for eternity.
A visitation for Joseph will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, 1900 Vanstory St, Greensboro, NC 27403 followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Entombment be at Westminster Gardens Mausoleum, Greensboro, NC.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.AdvantageGreensboro.com for the White family.
