Harold B. Lowe

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel at 2:30 pm. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 1:30 pm.

Harold was born in Greensboro, NC to the late Winfield and Mary K. Henderson Lowe. He was a US Air Force Veteran, having served during the Korean War era. He worked as an Electronics Technician for the Department of Defense for 23 years. He was a man of simple tastes who loved spending time with his family. He was an avid golfer and card player.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Carolyn McCarthy Lowe. Harold is survived by his son, Stephen Lowe and wife Carmen Harris of Simpsonville, SC; grandchildren Bonnie Harris-Lowe a junior at the University of South Carolina and Mattie Harris-Lowe a high school senior; sister Helen Williams; sister-in-law Treva Lowe; special niece Kathy Robbins, other nieces and nephews, and special friends he regarded as family: his "daughter" Natalie Hanberry and the Watson family, including "granddaughters" Kristen, Monica, and Della.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, 15 Oregon Street, Greenville, SC 29605, or to the American Heart Association 3535 Pelham Rd, Greenville, SC 29615 or 202 Centreport Drive, Greensboro, NC 27409 in memory of Harold Lowe.
