Gloria Andrews Davis

Mrs. Gloria Ellen Andrews Davis, 76, a resident of Jamestown died unexpectedly Thursday morning October 18, 2012. She was born November 14, 1935 in High Point the daughter of Clarence and Pauline Brown Andrews. Gloria graduated from High Point High School and attended Florida Jr. College in Jacksonville, FL and Jefferson Parrish Community College in Jefferson, LA. She was a nurse at Whitestone formally the Masonic and Eastern Star Home in Greensboro. She was a member of Hickory Grove United Methodist Church.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Joseph “Joey” Andrew Davis.

On January 13, 1959 she was married to Robert Joe Davis who survives of the home. Surviving in addition to her husband Joe Davis is one daughter, Kimberly Lynn Davis of Knoxville, TN; one sister, Kay Earline Davis Brown and husband Bobby of High Point and two grandchildren, Jeremy Davis of VA and Dakota Davis of High Point.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hickory Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by the Reverend Dr. Lauren Anderson. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 1:30 p.m. until service time at Hickory Grove United Methodist Church. Following the graveside service the family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall.
