Glen Allen Davidson, 56, a resident of Greensboro died Thursday April 24, 2014 at Moses H. Cone Hospital. Glen was born May 30, 1957 in Argentina, the son of James Alfred and Una Baker Davidson. He enjoyed life and what it offered, whether it was playing golf with his friends or playing his guitar as he loved music, often writing his own songs. Glen was an avid UNC Tar Heel fan. In the summertime he loved spending time with his family and cousins at their cottage on Crystal Lake in Michigan.
Glen is survived by his wife, Lesa Davidson of the home, one daughter, Janet Kivett and husband Brandon of Jamestown; one son, Taylor Davidson of the home; his parents, James and Una Davidson of Greensboro; one sister, Maurine Griffin and husband Hugh of Claremont, CA; one brother, Ron Davidson of Charlotte; two grandchildren, Bryson Kivett and Mason Kivett and nephews, David Griffin, Scott Griffin and Rob Griffin.
A Service to Celebrate Glen’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by Reverend Donna Smith. The family will receive friends at Hanes-Lineberry on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
Because of Glen’s love for animals, the family requests that memorials be made in his memory to Project Bark, 2313 Hilltop Trail, Jamestown, NC 27282 or to the American Heart Association, 202 Centeport Dr., Greensboro, NC 27409.
