Ella Rebecca Scott Allred

Ella Rebecca Scott Allred, 94 fell asleep in death on Saturday, July 23, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 23, 1922 in Greensboro, NC, the daughter of Edward Carson Scott and Faye Gordon Scott. She was a former employee of Southern Bell for four years, worked the switchboard at UNC-G for five years and served as a secretary at Greensboro City Schools for one year. She then devoted her time to her family when she and Sam became parents to six children. Becky was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to many. She will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Sam Allred, son Sammy Allred and sister, Louise Crews. Those surviving are her children; Marilyn Trivett and husband Nelson, Sharon McMurry and husband David of Greensboro, Teresa Inserra and husband John of McLeansville NC, George Allred and wife Sandra of Speedwell, VA, Joe Allred and wife Janelle of Greensboro, daughter-in-law, Cheryl Allred of Stokesdale NC, twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren, sister Lib Miller of Greensboro and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday July 31, 6:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1611 Pisgah Church Road, Greensboro, NC 27455. Becky loved sharing the Bible’s message with others, so in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Inc.
