Linda leaves a legacy of four children, Sarah, Michael, Richard and Brian, and seven grandchildren, the lights of her life. She will be remembered above all for her warmth of heart and nurturing spirit.
Born on October 14, 1952, the second of five children to Thomas and Agnes Lewis of Pittsburgh, PA, Linda graduated from North Allegheny High School in 1970 and attended Robert Morris College, where she graduated with an associate degree in business administration. She worked in administrative positions in municipal government in McCandless Township, PA, and later the Greensboro Auto Auction. In 1975, she married Richard Peters. Soon after, they moved to Greensboro, NC where she was wonderfully devoted to raising her four children. In addition to her children and grandchildren, she is survived by her four siblings, Guy, Joyce, Denise and Tom.
A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Linda was a generous and compassionate person loved by everyone she knew. She will be missed by us all.
A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, May 22, at 2 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home, 515 N. Elm St., Greensboro, NC.
