Elizabeth Jane Fryman

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 2, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 2203 W. Market Street with interment to follow at Westminster Gardens Cemetery, 3601 Whitehurst Road. Friends may pay their respects at the church from 9:00 till 9:45 a.m. prior to the service.

Jane was born July 22, 1935 in Greensboro, NC, daughter of the late Orville Leon and Gladys Viola Bromagem Fryman. She graduated from Sullins Junior College with honors in painting, a division of College of William and Mary in Richmond with honors in interior design receiving a BFA and a BA in elementary education at Guilford College.

Jane worked for 37 years in the drapery and gift departments at Belk with 2 perfect attendance citations. She was a member of the Symphony Guild, attending most concerts, the Euterpe Club and very active with the Eastern Music Festival helping with fund raising. Very strong in her faith, she was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and was active in her rosary group.

She is survived by her son, Ruben and granddaughter, Alondra Perez.
