He was a retired staff representative for the Communication Workers of America. Delbert served his country proudly as a member of the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed woodworking and was a skilled woodworker.
A loving husband, Delbert is survived by his wife of 39 years, Vickie Summers Gordon; two daughters, Marilyn Wood and husband Bob of Anna Maria, FL, Joanna Heatwole and husband Owen of Lakeland, FL; one son, Phillip Gordon of Lakeland, FL; five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews that he shared great relationships with and his loving Bassett Hound companion, Stella.
