Charles E. Daniels, 88, sent to be with the Lord on June 15, 2020. He was born on September 7th, 1931, son of Theatha McDufffie and Charlie Daniels. They had twelve children, seven boys and five girls; step mother, Geneva Briley and one boy and one girl; Haywood, Horace, Clifton, John, Franklin, Curtis, Helen, Hilda, Hazel, Lucy, Mayme and surviving brothers, Bob and David.
Charles served in the US Air Force and was a Mason and dedicated member of the Scottish rite. He served as a Boy Scout Master which he truly enjoyed. He taught at Piedmont Community College in Roxboro, NC and moved to Jamestown and taught at GTCC until retirement.
He was married to Flora Jones for 61 years where they had two children; Charlie and Cynthia. Charlie passed in 2012 and Flora in 2015.Surviving is his daughter Cynthia and husband Keith Johnson.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 28th, 2:00 pm at Springfield Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Lovins officiating.Burial with full military rites will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
